Kyle Falzone is a Richmond-based artist who earned his BFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017. Falzone’s sculptures and paintings have been presented with ADA Gallery (Richmond, VA) in the group shows Dusk, Fine Line and 15 YRS! Everyone in the Pool, as well as at the 2017 Untitled Art Fair (Miami, FL). As a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship recipient, his work was featured in the VMFA Fellowship Winners exhibition at Floyd Center for the Arts Hayloft Gallery (Floyd County, VA). His work has also been in the exhibitions Keep on Trucking at Anderson Gallery (Richmond, VA), New Works at CR4 (Richmond, VA), Game On: Sports in Ancient and Modern Art at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center (Newport News, VA) and Your Ticket Out at Distillery Gallery (Boston, MA).

He has been featured in the publications the Daily Press, RVA Magazine and The Boston Globe. Falzone has been awarded the Charles Renick Scholarship, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Undergraduate Fellowship, and the Art Foundation Award from Juror Dean Daderko.

Round wooden forms and a wonky sense of humor distinguish Kyle Falzone’s work as playful and inviting, while their seamless construction tells also of his intentional precision in craftsmanship. Crisply painted starbursts and radiating lines pair with organic dark woods in cryptic abstraction with a unique sense of character. Falzone attributes his work’s character to his background in art, construction, and practices in both architectural design and skateboarding.
